PARTNERS
Wesley Patterson is a founding partner of Patterson Andrews Wealth Management. After serving 20 years as an advisor, he joined forces with Chuck Andrews to establish a multi-talented firm to provide comprehensive financial planning and security for clients and generations to come. Wesley has always had a passion for helping people identify and meet their financial goals.
Wesley is a wealth management advisor, holding his Series 7 and 66 securities licenses. He graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science and received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional certification from The American College. Wesley also maintains his life, health, disability income, and long-term care insurance licenses in numerous states. He has achieved the Chartered Life Underwriters (CLU®) designation and his Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation. In his role, Wesley focuses on approaching financial planning from a holistic, comprehensive perspective while listening to his clients’ needs and providing advice based on sound fiduciary principles.
Wesley was born and raised in Gadsden, Alabama. He has been married to Jennifer since 1999, and they have three children, Cole, Carly, and Cason. Wesley enjoys managing and hunting on his land in Ashville, Alabama. He is active in youth baseball and has coached his sons' teams for many years. Wesley is also heavily involved with Westbrook Christian School and is President of the W Club.
Chuck Andrews CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®, AAMS®, RICP®

Chuck was born and raised in Germantown, TN, as the oldest of eight children. He came to Birmingham in 1994 to attend Samford University, where he graduated in 1998 with a business management degree focused on finance. He felt God calling him to stay in Birmingham and accepted a full-time position with Northwestern Mutual in 1998 to build his personal practice. He is now a founding partner and wealth management advisor for Patterson Andrews Wealth Management and has been since 2021.
Chuck is highly credentialed in his field, as he holds his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), and Certified Long-Term Care (CLTC®) designations. In his role, Chuck meets with clients to understand their plans and objectives so he can deliver financial peace of mind. He also oversees the sales department and manages the productivity of insurance and investments. The most rewarding part of Chuck's position at our firm is that he gets to give his clients confidence in their plan and support them through making some of the biggest decisions of their life so they can accomplish their greatest goals.
His three core personal values are Faith, Family, and Fun. His relationship with his Lord and Savior is the number one priority. His family is a close second, and he loves to have fun. His passion is helping clients create a vision for what is possible and watching them achieve their financial goals. Creating a holistic and comprehensive financial roadmap for clients that is easy to follow and execute brings him great joy.
When he is not at the office, Chuck spends most of his time with his wonderful wife, Lydia, and his five children: Brooks, Claire, Radford, Caroline, and Abigail. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, or working out at IronTribe. He is involved in his community as a member and deacon at Shades Mountain Community Church, serving on two committees. He also consistently supports missions and clean water initiatives like TEAM, Campus Outreach, NeverThirst, Doulos, International Justice Mission, and Briarwood Christian School.
Dave Miller began his career with Northwestern Mutual in 1979. He began working as the managing director for the Montgomery, Alabama office in 1982 after obtaining his B.A. in accounting from Stetson University Business School. He then acquired his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designations in 1987. He was awarded his Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®) designation by the National Association of Estate Planners & Council in 2012. He also holds his series 6, 7, 8, and 63 licenses. In 2021, Dave officially joined Patterson Andrews as a wealth management advisor where he provides personal, corporate and estate planning for our clients to achieve their greatest goals.
Dave's approach to financial planning focuses on holistic and tax-efficient strategies. He specializes in providing tailored, goal-oriented solutions centered around wealth planning, legacy funding, trust services, and estate tax planning. He appreciates the ability to provide the collaborative, team approach of Patterson Andrews to help clients achieve and maintain their life goals.
Dave resides in Montgomery, AL, with his wife, Susan. Dave enjoys traveling, golfing, and enjoying time with his children and grandchildren outside of work. He is also an avid wine connoisseur who enjoys sampling and expanding his collection. Dave and Susan are active members of the Church of the Highlands in Montgomery, AL, and Barry Wood Ministries.
Investment and Planning Team
Justin Sly began his financial career in 2013 after graduating from Samford University with a degree in finance and economics. His passion for this industry comes from his first-hand experiences seeing the toll that not having a financial plan can have on families and how important it is to have a team of trusted professionals in your corner who are directly invested in your success. Justin joined Patterson Andrews in 2022. He is responsible for conducting investment research, due diligence, asset allocation, portfolio management, and trading at the firm. He finds our holistic planning approach, best-in-class insurance and annuities, and distribution planning strategies to be our key differentiators, which is why he loves being a part of the Patterson Andrews team.
When Justin is not assisting clients, he loves to read, golf, spend time with family and friends, and play chess. Justin is a current member of the board of the Alabama Chess Federation.
Amanda Skinner graduated cum laude from Jacksonville State University in 2000 with a degree in communications and a focus in public relations before joining our team in 2023. She is also a holder of her Security Industry Essentials (SIE) credential and her Series 7, Series 63, and Life and Health licenses. As our Financial Planning Assistant, Amanda assists our planning department in developing comprehensive financial plans for our clients. She thoroughly enjoys seeing both sides of the process. She feels proud to be a part of a team with such a solid investment philosophy and many highly credentialed professionals. Beyond bringing in sales, Amanda thinks helping advisors prepare for their client meetings and supporting the rest of our team is one of the best parts of her job. She especially loves the rare, family-like dynamic that our close-knit team has cultivated.
As a single mother of three active teens, Amanda stays busy with her family. When she is not assisting clients in the office or caring for her three children at home, she loves to sing and has been an active member of her church's praise team over the years. She also loves walking her Golden Doodle Ollie, exercising, or discovering hidden gems at the thrift store in her free time.
Faith graduated from the University of Alabama in 2023 with a major in finance and a minor in personal wealth management. She now works as our Planning Assistant supporting the Director of Planning to help develop thoughtful recommendations and monitor financial plans. Faith has obtained her Security Industry Essentials license.
Faith loves to spend her free time outdoors hiking and exploring when she is not working. She also enjoys completing puzzles and painting. Faith is an active member of Best Buddies, which is a developmental program for individuals with special needs where she volunteers her time, and HomeFirst, which is a program that educates individuals on first-time homeownership and foreclosure prevention.
Advisory Team
Brandon Gooding earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas Tech University in 2001. He joined Patterson Andrews in 2023 as a private wealth advisor. In his role, Brandon truly prioritizes listening and understanding his clients' financial goals so he can work collaboratively with them to develop a plan tailored to their unique needs. Brandon takes a holistic and comprehensive approach to financial planning. He ensures that no stone goes unturned when evaluating an individual or family's financial goals and how he can help his clients achieve them. Brandon loves working at Patterson Andrews because he wakes up every morning excited to come to work and help his clients attain financial success, as he believes that what he does is a partnership and goes much deeper than just investments.
Outside of his work, Brandon loves spending time with his wife, Ashley and daughter, Katherine. He is an avid hunter and loves spending time in the mountains skiing, floating a river, mountain biking, or boating on a lake. Prior to his work with Patterson Andrews, Brandon was an Infantry Officer in the United States Marine Corps.
Michael Andrzejewski CFP®, ChFC®
Financial Representative
Michael attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he obtained his B.S. with a concentration in philosophy and literature. He also has his Life and Health, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses. He joined Northwestern Mutual in 2018 before officially joining the Patterson Andrews firm in 2023 as a financial advisor and our growth and development director. His responsibilities include working with families and individuals to create comprehensive plans focusing on efficiency, preservation, and growth. His favorite part of his role is bringing together every facet of financial planning and delivering sound results to his clients so they can achieve their greatest goals. He also loves that his position allows him to make a positive impact in the lives of others and that he gets to provide clarity and reduce people's stress when they need it most.
After his work is complete, Michael loves traveling, spending time with his family, and following Army Football. Michael is also involved in Ministry at Grace Community Church at Deerfoot in Trussville.
Client Relations Team
Stephanie graduated from Auburn University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in human development and family studies. She joined the firm in 2022 as a Client Relations Manager, where she works with clients to open new investment and insurance accounts as well as provide ongoing account support to established clients. Stephanie has obtained her Alabama Life and Health, Security Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 licenses and the Series 63 license as well. She enjoys working with the Patterson Andrews team to help clients accomplish their financial goals.
Stephanie has been married to her husband, Steven since 2003. They have 2 children, Ava and Sam as well as a Boston Terrier named Otis. She is very involved at Shades Mountain Community Church, where Steven is the Worship Pastor and Stephanie serves alongside him in the Worship Ministry. She enjoys spending time with her family as well as staying active with running and CrossFit.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Tara moved to Rainbow City, AL, in 1992, where she has lived ever since. After graduating from Southside High School, she attended Gadsden State Community College and joined our team in October of 2014 as our Client Relations Manager. She has received her license in Alabama Health and Life, Disability, and Long-Term Care. She is also SIE, Series 6, 7 and 63 securities licensed. She is currently working towards obtaining her degree in Business. Tara is responsible for onboarding insurance and investments and providing operational client support to our clients. Her goal is to provide exceptional service and care for our clients. The most rewarding part about Tara's role, she says, is helping people reach their life goals, no matter what stage of life they may be in.
In her community, Tara is heavily involved in the organization she founded, Behind the Smile, Inc.
Tara resides in Rainbow City with her husband, Scott, and her son, C.J. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and attending her son's football and baseball games.
Melody Jones, a native of Tallassee, Alabama, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in education from Auburn University in 1987. Melody began her career as marketing representative with Alabama Power Company in Montgomery, Alabama. She continued her career over the next decade with Alabama Power in various marketing and public relations positions.
In March 2000, Melody joined the Gift of Life Foundation staff as chief operations officer. She served as the primary administrator of personnel and human resource operations and oversaw all community projects within the organization.
Melody joined the staff of Leadership Alabama in July 2016 as program director, where she was responsible for developing content, planning, organizing, and implementing all aspects of programming for the organization.
In November 2020, Melody joined our team as client relations manager. In her role, Melody enjoys the opportunity to support families by providing exceptional customer service while meeting their individual insurance and investment needs.
Melody is married to Curtis Jones, and they have four children and eight grandchildren. Outside of work, Melody enjoys spending time with her family and friends while sharing a meal, experiencing the great outdoors, and cheering for her favorite sports teams. Melody and Curtis reside in Pike Road, Alabama.
Jessica was born and raised in Gadsden, AL. She is a 2006 Auburn University graduate who earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration, focusing on human resources management. Jessica joined our firm in 2013, and since then has earned her Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation, state Life, Disability, and Long-Term Care insurance licenses, and is also Series 7 and 63 securities licensed. As Client Relations Manager, Jessica manages insurance and investment client onboarding and servicing and feels passionate about making it an exceptional experience for our clients. She highly values the personal relationships she develops with clients, knowing trust is foundational to the success of any plan.
Jessica is actively involved in her community. She is a sustainer of the Gadsden Service Guild, where she served as Appropriations Chair, Assistant Treasurer, and Treasurer during her tenure. She is also the current board President of the Etowah County Free Clinic and serves on the Finance Committee at First Baptist Church of Gadsden.
Jessica lives in Southside, Alabama, with her husband, Ben, and their dog, Nancy. They are active in their church, where Ben serves as a deacon and Sunday School teacher, and Jessica sings in the choir and assists with the children and youth music ministries.
Michael joined our firm in July 2022 after a successful 21-year career in higher education enrollment management and academic advising. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a B.S. in communication and public relations. He continued his education at Bay Path University, where he obtained a M.S. in higher education administration. He also obtained his Alabama Life and Health License, Series 6, and Series 63. He works as a Client Relations Manager, serving our clients' everyday needs. From the first interaction with our firm to established clients, Michael's passion is ensuring our clients have a superior experience with Patterson Andrews. Michael takes pride in being a part of our firm because he finds our family atmosphere refreshing and feels that our clients are family to us and are treated accordingly. He also believes in our holistic financial planning approach and loves that he gets to see families' lives change every day because of the services we provide.
When Michael is not supporting clients, he enjoys attending Mississippi State athletic events and being an active member of the Alabama Symphony Chorus. He is also a member of Shades Mountain Community Church. Michael enjoys volunteering at St. Jude Research Hospital, United Way of Mississippi and Alabama. A fun fact about Michael is that his grandparents raised him from birth, and he is a proud owner of a Maine Coon cat named Jake!
Tiffany graduated from Auburn University with a degree in biomedical sciences. She then joined Northwestern Mutual in 2009, where she discovered her passion for the financial services industry before joining Patterson Andrews in 2021. She has since obtained her Life and Health license, her Long-Term Care certification, and her series 6 and series 63 licenses. She now works as our office manager and associate financial representative, working closely with other advisors to help clients plan for their short-term needs and long-term goals. She is responsible for maintaining an efficient, organized office for the sake of our whole team so that we can most productively assist our clients in all aspects of the financial planning process. Tiffany takes pride in her work at Patterson Andrews because she feels that her contributions strengthen our clients' well-being and wealth-building strategies and ultimately allow them to achieve financial independence while preparing for the future they desire.
Tiffany stays busy with her two children and husband outside of work by attending many weekend soccer tournaments. In addition, she also loves traveling and exploring new places, experiencing new cultures, hiking, spending time outdoors, and playing the piano.
After spending 27 years as a Pastor's wife, raising four children and being out of the work force, Alesia joined the team in 2013 as our executive assistant. In her role, Alesia is responsible for creating an excellent experience for our clients by ensuring that our teams' and clients' needs are met in all areas. Alesia loves being part of the Patterson Andrews team because she enjoys helping people enjoy today while also knowing that they are secure tomorrow. Her favorite part about our firm is that we treat our clients like an extension of our own family and give people the hope and motivation they need to enjoy the next stage of their life.
She is the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren (so far), and she loves spending time with all of them. She enjoys crafts, cake decorating, traveling, and being part of small groups and Bible studies. She is an active member of her church, Church 2:20, where she is involved in several outreaches. She is also involved in missions in Honduras and Nicaragua as well as locally, and she is an avid supporter of Mercy Ships, which is an international charity that sends ships-full of medical resources to people in less fortunate areas.
