Behind the Smile, Inc.

Behind the Smile, Inc. is an organization founded by our team member, Tara Martin after her youngest son, Tyler Martin, committed suicide on March 17, 2017. Behind the Smile, Inc. strives to educate local teens, young adults, and their parents on mental health issues such as anxiety and depression in an effort to prevent teen suicides.

Neverthirst

Chuck Andrews is committed to clean water initiatives and is involved locally with Neverthirst, a local ministry based out of Birmingham, Alabama that works to provide clean drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions to people in eight different countries across Africa and Southeast Asia.

St. Jude's

Michael Black volunteers at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. St. Jude's is leading the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Alabama Symphony Orchestra

Alabama Symphony Orchestra is a major orchestra based in Birmingham, Alabama. The ASO is a full-time orchestra, passionately pushing the boundaries of music through concert, education, and creativity. Michael Black is a member of the Alabama Symphony Chorus.

Shades Mountain Community Church

Michael Black, Chuck Andrews, and Stephanie Sivley are all active members of the Shades Mountain Community Church, a non-denominational, elder-led church, located in the Bluff Park neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama. Chuck is a deacon and Stephanie serves alongside her husband Steven, Worship Pastor, in the Worship Ministry.

The Phoenix Club of Birmingham

The Phoenix Club of Birmingham provides a developmental opportunity for young professional men to become social, business, and philanthropic leaders. It supports the mission of the Boys & Girls Club and further seeks to impact the direction of our community's youth through fund-raising and interaction.

Westbrook Christian School

Westbrook Christian School provides a safe, nurturing environment and faith-based, Christian educational philosophy. They provide comprehensive 3k through 12th grade educational programs designed to give young people an outstanding academic foundation in a safe, loving, Christian environment. Wesley Patterson is highly involved with Westbrook Christian School and is President of the W Club.

Doulos Partners

Chuck Andrews is actively involved with Doulos Partners, a nonprofit in Birmingham, Alabama that acts as a missions mutual fund for other Christian nonprofits. They ultimately provide financial assistance to organizations across the world that share their vision and mission.

Samford

Samford is a local university that fields 17 varsity sports - eight men's and nine women's - that participate in the NCAA Division 1 Level in the Southern Conference. Ranked No. 6 nationally, Samford's athletic teams earned a 98% Graduation Success Rate (GSR) by the NCAA. Chuck Andrews and Justin Sly are both Samford graduates and Justin a Samford football player.

Briarwood Christian School

Briarwood Christian School provides Christ-centered, transformational education that equips and inspires each student to glorify God by maximizing their God-given abilities. Their vision is to develop leaders who impact the world by glorifying Christ in every sphere of life. The Andrews family is a proud member of Briarwood; all five children are either current or former attendees of the school.
